Everyone should read this book - Christian or not. My husband and I used this for our nightly Bible study, one chapter at a time. It is well written and easy to understand. We learned some good lessons about our relationshipvwith God that have helped our faith grow - even after 40 years as believers. One of our church deacons wanted to borrow it and I ended up buying them their own copy because we didn't want to lend it our and have it disappear (yes, church people DO forget to return books sometimes).
This is a wonderful book that provides practical ways to know, experience and celebrate God's unparalleled attributes. You will be blessed with a more personal relationship with God while reading Dr. Thrasher's book God As He Wants You to Know Him. Our church used it for small-group study. We were all blessed by what we learned and how Dr. Thrasher made each attribute of our incredible God so personal. This book can be effective as a devotional, personal study, a catalyst for prayer and praise, or for group studies. I highly recommend anything written by Dr. Thrasher. God As He Wants You to Know Him is my most recent "favorite" by Dr. Thrasher. I'm looking forward to reading more from him. Meanwhile, our church is praying for Dr. Thrasher's continued writing and teaching ministries.
I highly recommend this book to all believers in our Triune God. It is jam packed with scriptural teaching, valuable insights, and knowledge that is transforming... His word is inexhaustable and his spiritual riches beyond our comprehension... I heard the book and author mentioned on Moody radio and knew I had to purchase it.. I am so blessed with this scriptural treasure.. The author writes with integrity, honesty, and biblical knowledge.. from his heart and mind.. He knows the Lord. In an age where we must be discerning of who we read and listen to, this pastor,writer will touch your mind and heart.. tho this book is easy and comprehensible, it is filled with depth and must be savored for the truth contained. may you take the journey.. it is about Father, Son and Holy Spirit... there is no other God.. and he is knowable and reachable... what a wonderful God we have.. Let us not take advantage of his Grace.. He is worth knowing and loving! He loved us first! and we must respond in kind. He is all about Love! a Holy Love. You were worth dying for. He knows you already.. know Him and his love.
